Freedom Alliance Church is a church planting effort here in Akron, Ohio that is on mission with JESUS to reach those trapped in addiction. Freedom Alliance Church also has a Freedom House here in Akron that is a Faith Based Sober House that houses men looking to experience freedom from addiction. Meet Our Team

Anthony was raised in Wadsworth Ohio by his grandparents. Anthony moved to Ohio when he was 8. Anthony’s mother struggled with addiction and left the home at an early age and his father served in the United States Navy resulting in his grandparents raising him. Anthony started to struggle with addiction at the age of 13. Anthony over the next 20 years of his life struggled with addiction to drugs and alcohol and spent the majority of that 20 years in and out of jails, prison and rehab. Anthony met Jesus through coming into the program in February of 2022 and fell in love with Jesus and now Jesus is the love of his life. Anthony completed the program and was raised up in leadership starting off with becoming a discipleship leader at the Wooster Ohio location and serving as a discipleship leader in Mansfield Ohio. Anthony now serves here in Akron Ohio with Freedom Alliance Church as the Campus Pastor and overseer of the Freedom House and also disciples the leaders at the Akron Campus location and as the Family Pastor of Riverside Alliance Church. He and his wife have 4 kids and also live here in Akron. Anthony attended Westwood Alliance Theological Academy partnered with Crown College where he completed the Crown 30 program. He is Accredited and licensed through the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.

I am the House Manager at Freedom Alliance Akron & have been at the house since April 15th, 2024. I have struggled with alcohol and drug addiction for most of my life. I came into the house broken, battered and spiritually bankrupt. I re-dedicated my life to Jesus on April 22, 2024. I went through our 6 part descipleship and graduated from the program. The Lord has blessed my life in so many ways. The scope of my responsibilities as a house manager include the enforcement of house rules while providing accountability as well as managing schedules alongside conflict resolution and coordination with healthcare providers. I handle aministrative tasks such as rent collecton, handing out medications and vehicle maintenance. My house manager's duties extend beyond mere order and maintenance to include the empathetic engagement with brothers facing sobriety-life challenges. I also come alongside Eric the discipleship leader in walking the guys through their initial discipleship.

My name is Eric Bihary. I grew up in a very broken home, I was introduced to drugs at a very young age. From years of 15 yrs old to 28 yrs old I struggled with methamphetamine, marijuana, alcohol. In 2023 in September I met and fell in love with Jesus. Now I'm the discipleship leader here In the Akron Freedom House, I take the guys who come in through our initial discipleship we offer here. Also I come alongside the house manager in any area it's needed. I also do the Intake interviews and bed Sponsorship updates with the house manager.
Freedom House
The Freedom House is a Christ Centered Home that houses up to seven men. The staff on site are the house manager and the discipleship leader that have both been through the program and now serve at a leadership role. Maybe you or your loved one is not sure about a Christ centered sober living house or you or your loved one just have unanswered questions about Jesus that’s okay if you or your loved one is looking to experience freedom from addiction we are here to help and would love for you to call so we could talk more about our program! We have a discipleship program that we take men through and we also help with getting men set up with counseling and other support networks throughout the community.
